STANDING COMMITTEES - 2005/2006
CHARGE:
- Prepare long and short term financial plans for the Cooperative
- Make recommendations (i.e., to accept, reject, or revise) for the annual budget submitted by the Executive Director
- Make recommendations on financial policies and procedures for the Cooperative
Composition: At least 3 members, including
- Secretary/Treasurer = Chair

- 1 other Executive Board member

CHARGE:
- Receive and review applications for membership in HRLC, ensuring applicants meet the criteria listed in the HRLC Bylaws. Recommendations are then made to the Executive Board for their discussion and vote.
Composition: At least 3 members from the Executive Board.

CHARGE:
- Develop and recommend personnel policies governing employees of the Cooperative; review these documents on an annual basis
- Recommend candidates for the Executive Director's position
- Recommend employee salaries, salary adjustments and salary ranges
- Review grievance appeals unresolved by the Executive Director and recommend solutions
- Conduct the annual performance review of the Executive Director

- Make recommendations (acceptance, rejection, revision) of the Five-Year Plan and the annual update submitted by the Executive Director
- Review and make recommendations - evaluation of the Regional Library Cooperative's services and programs; identification of users' needs
Composition: At least 7 members, including the
- Vice President of the Executive Board = Chair
- Executive Director
- 4 other Executive Board members
- Non-contractor representatives from each Special Committee, Sectional Group and Task Force, representative of all types of libraries and geographic areas in the Cooperative
